This song is a tribute to my (rather extreme) introversion - and the woman who has to live with it. I wrote the whole song in like 30 minutes, and instantly knew I had the title track of the coming album.

The "beautiful darkness" is where I go to do all my creative stuff - and also where I tend to get lost from time to time. It is that inner castle no one else gets to enter, except from her. Sometimes I invite her in. Most of the time I need to be there alone. But even then, she is the one illuminating the darkness, making it beautiful. "Stay with me forever... now, leave me alone."
